Current Introduction: July 2009
It’s true, I am moving to Toronto. As for my career history, I’ve done account management, design and planning work in enterprise computer networking, and numerous roles in technology start up and artistic ventures. I suppose in varying degrees I have entrepreneurial, technological and creative qualities. Currenty I am enjoying a relaxing summer, with some volunteer work and...

May long
My lady friend is back in town for the summer, and then in fall we move to T.O.!  I am very happy we are in the same city. As for April’s finished projects, the entire house in Inglewood Calgary has fresh paint (inside) now.  June’s project is outside stuff.  July I put up the place for rent. Recording for the Avec Zhang record will resume next week.  Must also put up a ton of...

Packing, solitude and snow.
Spent last two days packing upstairs of the house for painting, and to prep for the move to T.O. in August.  Still much packing to do, it’ll be nice to have most of my stuff packed early.  I have so much stuff to give away.  Living alone this month and being unemployed means little interaction with people (my dog is not a person).  During breaks from packing I’ve been enjoying...

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
Lots of changes in April.  Changed both my blogs (this one and my external one).  Girlfriend is coming home to Calgary at the end of this month.  The last time we were together was mid February in San Francisco.  Packing the entire house this/next week (for the eventual move to Toronto), and then painting whole house in 2 weeks. Changed my acoustic guitar strings to thicker ones (.013-.053)...

Italian Spiderman
Italian Spiderman is a 10-part mini episode Internet movie that parodies Italian action genre films from the 1960’s and 70’s. I’ve compiled a YouTube playlist complete with trailer and all 10 episodes for your viewing pleasure.  Total run time is around 45 mins, enjoy.

Fixed for T.O.
As the snow melts and the streets become more and more visible, the bike is now officially out for the season. The fixie in the photo stays, the car behind it will be sold.  I’ve wanted to shed the burden of owning a vehicle for some time now, for both ecological and lifestyle reasons.  Since I’m moving to Toronto in August, I’ve decided to also make it the deadline for owning a car. ...

Home alone
Last month one of my oldest friends Ryan moved out of my house, and today band mate Colin moves out.  It’s all part of my master plan to renovate, rent out the house, and get out of this city after summer.  For the next month I will be in this house entirely alone, and it will be glorious.

Working on this blog
So I finally got around to spending some time on this blog. I’m content with the aesthetic which came from slightly tweaking a theme called Museum. I suppose the next step is to have a topic, or does that usually come first? After some feeding experiments with RSS and photo sites, it appears that photos through Flickr and Pikchur work best.  Now I can post mobile via iPhone and also have...

Jarmusch on Originality
I empathize with, and like the way Jarmusch talks about originality here.  It reminds me of RiP, a documentary I recently watched about copyright and remix culture.  It’s true the notion of building from the past works with everything we make, but I think seeing it openly referenced and put into context is important.  Also, the Godard reference was a nice touch.
